simple tomato rice and potato fry


Ingredients:.  For 3-4 persons.
Tomatoes_6(medium sized,),    small onions_25(finely chopped), garlic_15cloves(finely chopped), green chillies_5, curry leaves, jeeragam_1spoon, sombu_1spoon, kadalai paruppu_1spoon,mustard and split urud dhal _1spoon, pinch of turmeric powder, required salt,red chillies_2, Kashmiri chilli powder_1spoon, gingelly oil_2tablespoon.


Just mash the tomatoes finely by hands.heat a kadai .add gingelly oil,add mustard,urud dhal, jeeragam, kadalai paruppu,sombu, asafoetida,red chillies, curry leaves,one by one.saute it and then add small onions,garlic,green chillies.daute for 3_4 minutes.add mashed tomatoes.add required salt, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder.saute it for 5minutes.then close the kadai with the lid.cook in low flame until the tomatoes are well cooked.open and stir on and off.it takes almost 15_20 minutes.switch off the stove.now add the cooked rice in this tomato mixture and mix it well.now our tomato rice is ready to serve.i served it with potato fry.
